A facelift is one of the first treatments many patients consider for the correction of wrinkles and sagging skin on the face. Younger Image Plastic Surgery Center, with offices located in Vienna, Woodbridge, and Rockville, welcomes patients from Arlington, Washington, DC, and surrounding communities of Maryland and Virginia, who would like to achieve a younger appearance with this effective procedure.
What is a Facelift?
A facelift is one of the most well-known plastic surgery procedures, offering patients a comprehensive facial rejuvenation treatment that can correct wrinkles, sagging skin, and more. Younger Image Plastic Surgery Center offers both traditional facelifts and mini facelifts. A traditional or full facelift can address signs of aging in all areas of the face. A mini facelift focuses on the lower face, addressing signs of aging in the cheeks, upper neck, and around the mouth. Many patients also combine their facelift procedure with a neck lift for improved rejuvenation results.
How Much Does a Facelift Cost in Washington, DC?
The average cost of a facelift ranges from $4,000 to $6,500 but will vary depending on the extent of treatment necessary to deliver your desired results. During your consultation, we will evaluate your cosmetic goals to develop a personalized treatment plan. At this time, we will be able to provide the full cost of your treatment. To schedule any treatment, we ask for a $1,000 deposit that is nonrefundable. Two weeks before surgery, the patient will have a pre-op appointment where his or her full balance is due to be paid in full.
We offer flexible financing options, including Alphaeon® and CareCredit® to ensure that each patient has access to the treatment that they need. Alphaeon® and CareCredit® pay us in full and the patient pays the financing company a monthly fee. We also accept cash, checks, and major credit cards for your convenience.
What is the Facelift Procedure Like?
Your facelift procedure will depend on the extent of treatment necessary and whether you are having a full or mini facelift. A full facelift typically requires incisions around the ears, along the hair line, and occasionally under the chin. A mini facelift requires fewer incisions, typically just around the ears and under the chin. Through these incisions, we will remove excess skin to remove wrinkles and produce a more youthful appearance. Afterward, the incisions will be closed and the treatment is complete. A facelift can take up to four hours depending on the treatment necessary.
What is Recovery like Following a Facelift?
After a facelift, the initial recovery period requires about a week or two of downtime. During this time, patients will have to take time off of work and other activities. Swelling, bruising, and minor discomfort may be experienced for three to six weeks after treatment. We recommend that patients avoid exercise and other strenuous activities for at least a month after their surgery.
Are the Results from My Facelift Permanent?
A facelift can produce long-lasting results that take years off of the appearance. However, this procedure cannot stop the natural aging process, and further changes in the face may develop over time. To ensure that results last as long as possible, we encourage patients to maintain healthy diet, exercise, and lifestyle habits.
