What Are Chin Implants?

Chin implants are a chin augmentation technique for enhancing the shape and size of the chin. A weak or small chin can detract from the overall balance of the face. Many patients feel that a chin implant enhances the balance of the face and complements the rest of the facial features. Chin implants are especially popular among male patients, who are able to achieve a more masculine jawline and appearance with the use of chin implants.

How Much Do Chin Implants Cost in Washington, DC?

The cost of chin implants starts at $3,600 and will vary depending on the type of implants chosen and the extent of treatment necessary to deliver your desired results. During your consultation, we will evaluate your cosmetic goals to develop a personalized treatment plan. At this time, we will be able to provide the full cost of your treatment. To schedule any treatment, we ask for a $1,000 deposit that is nonrefundable. Two weeks before surgery, the patient will have a pre-op appointment where his or her full balance is due to be paid in full.

We offer flexible financing options, including Alphaeon® and CareCredit® to ensure that each patient has access to the treatment that they need. Alphaeon® and CareCredit® pay us in full and the patient pays the financing company a monthly fee. We also accept cash, checks, and major credit cards for your convenience.

What is the Chin Implant Procedure Like?

During the chin implant procedure, a small incision will be made either underneath the chin or inside the mouth. In either case, the incision is discreet and practically unnoticeable after treatment. Then, the desired chin implant is inserted into the chin and affixed to the jawbone for a natural look and feel. Chin implant procedures are fairly easy to perform and usually take less than two hours.

What is Recovery like Following a Chin Implant Procedure?

The recovery period following chin implants is relatively easy, with minor swelling and tenderness present for the first week or so. Patients are generally able to resume work and other normal activities within a few days of treatment. We recommend that patients avoid exercise and other strenuous activities for about a month after their procedure.

Chin implants produce long-lasting benefits that can increase confidence and enhance the balance of your facial features. Younger Image Plastic Surgery Center offers this and other facial surgery procedures to men and women living in Washinton, DC, Arlington, and nearby areas of Maryland and Virginia from our offices in Vienna, Woodbridge, and Rockville.
