Brachioplasty (Arm Lift) in Washington, DC

Just like the rest of the body, the arms are susceptible to stubborn fat and loose skin that develop as a result of aging. Younger Image Plastic Surgery Center offers brachioplasty treatments to residents of Washington, DC, Arlington, and nearby areas of Maryland and Virginia from our offices in Veinna, Woodbridge, and Rockville.

What is a Brachioplasty?

A brachioplasty, commonly referred to as an arm lift, is a surgical technique that eliminates excess skin and fat in the arms to produce a more contoured appearance. The upper arms commonly develop sagging skin and stubborn pockets of fat that can detract from your appearance. With a brachioplasty, patients can achieve arms that are more youthful and sculpted.

How Much Does a Brachioplasty Cost in Washington, DC?

The cost of a brachioplasty begins at $6,500, but will vary depending on the extent of treatment necessary to deliver your desired results. During your consultation, we will evaluate your cosmetic goals to develop a personalized treatment plan. At this time, we will be able to provide the full cost of your treatment. To schedule any treatment, we ask for a $1,000 deposit that is nonrefundable. Two weeks before surgery, the patient will have a pre-op appointment where his or her full balance is due to be paid in full.

We offer flexible financing options, including Alphaeon® and CareCredit® to ensure that each patient has access to the treatment that they need. Alphaeon® and CareCredit® pay us in full and the patient pays the financing company a monthly fee. We also accept cash, checks, and major credit cards for your convenience.

What is the Brachioplasty Procedure Like?

At Younger Image Plastic Surgery Center, we offer both mini arm lifts and traditional arm lifts. With a mini arm lift, a discreet incision is placed in the armpit. Through this incision, we are able to eliminate excess skin and fat to produce the desired results. For patients looking for more significant aesthetic improvements, a traditional arm lift may be ideal. During this treatment, a longer incision is made that stretches along the inside of the arm, between the elbow and the armpit. Then, we will remove excess fat and skin to tighten the upper arm and produce the desired results.

What is Recovery like Following a Brachioplasty?

After your arm lift procedure, you can expect an initial recovery period that lasts about two weeks. During this time, you may experience swelling, discomfort or bruising in the arms, and you will have to wear compression garments to aid in recovery. It may also be necessary to take time off of work and other activities while you recover. Exercise, heavy lifting, and other strenuous activities will have to be avoided for at least a month
after treatment.

Are the Results from a Brachioplasty Permanent?

A brachioplasty can produce long-lasting results that create a slimmer, contoured appearance in the arms. However, future weight gain can detract from your results. We encourage patients to maintain healthy diet, exercise, and lifestyle habits to make their results last as long as possible.
