Breast Lift in Washington, DC

The breasts are incredibly susceptible to aging and other natural processes such as pregnancy. Once the breasts begin to sag or droop, a breast lift may be the best method for restoring their youthful lift. With three offices conveniently located in Vienna, Woodbridge, and Rockville, Younger Image Plastic Surgery Center offers breast lift procedures to women living in Washington, DC, Arlington, and the neighboring areas of Virginia and Maryland.

What is a Breast Lift?

A breast lift is a surgical technique that eliminates excess skin and tightens the breast to produce a more lifted appearance. This procedure is most often used to correct sagging or drooping that occurs as a result of the natural aging process. Many women who experience changes in the breasts due to pregnancy and breast feeding also choose a breast lift to restore a youthful perkiness to the breasts.

How Much Does a Breast Lift Cost in Washington, DC?

The cost of a breast lift procedure can range from $7,000 to $9,000, and will vary depending on the extent of treatment necessary to deliver your desired results. During your consultation, we will evaluate your cosmetic goals to develop a personalized treatment plan. At this time, we will be able to provide the full cost of your treatment. To schedule any treatment, we ask for a $1,000 deposit that is nonrefundable. Two weeks before surgery, the patient will have a pre-op appointment where his or her full balance is due to be paid in full.

We offer flexible financing options, including Alphaeon® and CareCredit® to ensure that each patient has access to the treatment that they need. Alphaeon® and CareCredit® pay us in full and the patient pays the financing company a monthly fee. We also accept cash, checks, and major credit cards for your convenience.

What is the Breast Lift Procedure Like?

The most common technique for a breast lift surgery involves an anchor-shaped incision. This incision is made around the nipple and extending downwards, reaching to either side of the breast. Then, excess skin is removed to reshape and lift the breast. At this time, the nipple will be properly positioned so that it is in the center of the breast. For patients with smaller breasts or minimal sagging, we may be able to perform the breast lift procedure with smaller incisions. Many patients choose to combine their breast lift procedure with a breast augmentation, which can extend the surgery time but will enhance the size of the breasts in addition to their position.

Will a Breast Lift Affect Nipple Sensation?

Adjusting the size and position of the nipple is a common request for breast lift patients. Due to our advanced techniques and expertise in breast surgery, we are able to minimize the risk of nipple sensation loss during this procedure. However, some patients may notice changes in their nipple sensitivity during recovery. Whether you experience an increase or decrease in sensitivity, the sensation typically returns to normal within a few months of your procedure.

What is Recovery like Following a Breast Lift?

After your breast lift procedure, you can expect an initial recovery period that lasts about one week. During this time, you may experience swelling, discomfort, or bruising in the breasts. It may also be necessary to take time off of work and other activities while you recover. After this time, you will have to wear a specialized surgical bra to ensure that the breasts heal properly. Heavy lifting and other strenuous activities will have to be avoided for at least a month.
