How Is Breast Augmentation Performed?
As an outpatient procedure, breast augmentation surgery takes less than two hours. We offer IV sedation and local anesthesia; however, most patients prefer general anesthesia to avoid any discomfort. An incision is made in the preferred location, and the implants are placed either beneath the breast tissue and below the pectoral muscle layer or beneath the breast glandular tissue layer only.
