What Is Breast Augmentation?
Breast augmentation is a cosmetic surgery that can enhance the look and feel of the breasts. It is most commonly used to increase breast size. In some instances, it is also used as a corrective surgery for asymmetrical breasts. Those who undergo the surgery praise it for the positive effect it has on self-image.
How Is Breast Augmentation Performed?
Dr. Yousefi will first put the patient under local anesthesia to numb any discomfort. Next, he makes an incision that will be used to place the implant. Depending on whether the implant is saline or silicone, the incision can be made in several different places. The incision is most commonly placed along the bottom of the breasts to conceal any scarring. Other times, the incision can be placed near the nipple or in the armpit.
