It can be exhausting planning your wardrobe around covering up the hanging skin and fat on your arms. This is only one of the problems people with excess skin and fatty tissue on the arms may face. Once this problem occurs, one of the only ways to eliminate it is with an arm lift—also called brachioplasty.
Fatty tissue can be removed in some cases with intensive weight loss efforts, but the excess skin and a portion of the fat will always remain. It is for this reason that most people seek surgical reduction of the fatty tissue and skin of the upper arms.
How is an Arm Lift Performed?
Depending on the amount and location of the excess fat and hanging skin, Dr. Yousefi will recommend either a mini arm lift or a full arm lift.
The most acceptable location for the scar is on the inner area of the arm, approximately two-thirds of the way back on the arm. The incision typically will need to extend from the area of the elbow along the inner arm into the arm pit. It will then be possible to remove an adequate amount of fatty tissue and skin to tighten the upper arm skin and tissues. This will eliminate excess hanging or sagging skin and fat.
What Can I Expect After an Arm Lift?
Reasonable restriction of activities involving the arms is necessary for one to two weeks. Dr. Yousefi will work with you throughout the entire procedure and recovery process to ensure you have a comfortable experience. Once healing is complete, you will enjoy healthy, youthful arms.
How Much Does an Arm Lift Cost in Vienna?
The cost for an arm lift depends on the amount of skin to be removed and whether you need a mini arm lift or a full arm lift. During your initial consultation, Dr. Yousefi can discuss your arm lift pricing and financing options.
